City dominate the first half and earn their win against their rivals

Manchester City have booked their place in the quarter-finals of the Continental Cup with a 2-1 victory over Manchester United at the Joie Stadium. The victory was inspired by a brilliant performance from Jess Park, and saw Taylor praise Shaw after her record-breaking performance.

City went into the game on the back of a comfortable derby victory over Manchester United, and they continued their good form with a dominant performance in the first half. Khadija Shaw and Jess Park both scored in the opening 45 minutes to put City in a commanding position.

United pulled a goal back in the second half, but City held on to secure the win. The victory sees City move top of the WSL table, and they will now face Arsenal in the quarter-finals of the Continental Cup.
